2018 Controversy

A week after its debut, P S Sreekala, the head of Kerala’s Knowledge Economy Mission, harshly criticized the movie. She voiced her distaste for the film on Facebook, calling out factual inaccuracies and lies in it. However, Sreekala stressed the value of the director’s careful study, pointing out that the chief minister’s image as powerless was untrue because he was instrumental in organizing the rescue efforts.
