The movie Article 15, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer hits the theatres today. Produced and Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 was already in news for several political reasons. Well, the movie got released today and it is getting appreciation from the critics. Article 15 has Ayushmann Khurrana playing the role of the cop for the first time along with Manoj Pahwa, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.
Article 15 Story
The story of the movie revolves around Ayan Ranjan a young IPS officer played by Ayushmann Khurrana get posted to a fictional village of Lalgaon in Uttar Pradesh. In the next day of his posting, he got a case of three girls missing. Two of them are found hanging from a tree and there is no trace of the third one for two days. Ayan finds that people from Lalgaon has different societal expectations from different people of different castes. He finds that this case is more complicated than it seems. Ayan has a big task in front to find where is the third girl and who is responsible for this heinous act?
Article 15 Review
Ayushmann Khurrana selection of scripts and strong acting has made him one of the big superstars. As the name suggests, the movie Article 15 is based on Article 15 which is covered in Part III of the Indian Constitution Fundamental Rights, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of caste, religion, etc. Article 15 has been portrayed as a crime thriller. Every scene in the movie keeps to the edge of the seat. The movie is based on a very sensitive subject but director Anubhav Sinha did an amazing job of making it happen.
Ayushmann Khurrana has played the role of a serious police officer to perfection. He is proving time and time again that he has amazing acting skills and can play every role with utmost perfection. Other noteworthy scene stealers are Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. They have also done a good job. The cinematography and background scores are quite well. Article 15 storyline and powerful performances surely leave you with goosebumps. The first half was a little long stretched. However, after watching the whole movie you will ignore this. The stronger the subject of the film, the stronger the scenes of the movie are.
