In 2017, Samantha Ruth Prabhu married Naga Chaitanya, another popular actor in the south Indian film industry. They both co-starred in films like Majili, Ye Maaya Chesave, and Autonagar Surya. Furthermore, to say that their marriage was highly celebrated would not be so wrong. They both were labeled as the “power couple” of the South industry. However, it lasted only until 2021, when both stars announced their separation on social media in a joint statement in October 2021.

Both Chaitanya and Samantha have moved on in their respective lives and are focusing on their careers. However, it seems like this moving-on journey was not so easy for Samantha. Why? Because she recently opened up and shared her divorce experience.

Samantha recently opened up and discussed her divorce experience. She shared with the world how she was in a dark place. While talking to  Zoom Digital’s Talk Easy section, she also shared that she had some dark ideas, but she did not let them take a toll on her. She shared, as we quote,

“During the toughest times of this condition, I was in a very dark place, and I had some really dark thoughts. I was not going to let these thoughts destroy me. It means I have to start looking one step forward. I am fortunate that many close people stood by me. I still haven’t overcome it, but the number of bad days has reduced a lot.”

She further added,

“I don’t know any other way to react. That’s exactly how I want to react, and that’s how I do it. It’s important to know that hard moments pass, and we shouldn’t get stuck in them.?”

Even though she gave her marriage her best, it still did not work out. But now, she has finally accepted it and is content with life.

On the flip side, we all know that she is still recovering from the autoimmune condition myositis. Regardless of being diagnosed with it, the actress has continued working and trying challenging roles. If this is not inspiring, then we do not know what is. The actress has now bagged a role in the global spy series Citadel opposite Varun Dhawan. Furthermore, she also has a movie called Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda in the pipeline. Are you excited about her upcoming projects? Because we sure are!
