Actors Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi, who have been dating for a while, announced on Thursday that they will get engaged on June 9. Several stories regarding their engagement have appeared during the previous month or two. Varun Tej and Lavanya, however, have not responded to the claims. Read on to know more.
They collaborated on two Telugu films, Mister and Antariksham 9000KMPH, and are allegedly planning to wed later this year. Niharika Konidela, a niece of renowned actor Chiranjeevi, addressed the claims of her brother Varun Tej’s engagement to Lavanya last month. She did neither confirm nor deny the engagement speculations in an interview.
Varun Tej and Lavanya announced their engagement on Twitter on Thursday, according to the well-known Telugu PR team Vamsi Shekar. “On June 9, 2023, Mega prince @IAmVarunTej and @Itslavanya will be engaged. Wishing you two a lifetime of happiness,” the message said.

About The Engagement Of Varun Tej And Lavanya Tripathi
The engagement ceremony will reportedly occur at Varun Tej’s house with his and Lavanya’s parents present. Only close relatives and friends will join the celebrations, making it a small gathering.
Varun just had a vacation in Italy. He posted many photos from the trip on Instagram. Recent Instagram postings by Lavanya indicate that she was also on vacation. It’s unclear if Varun and Lavanya were traveling together, though.

Forthcoming Projects For Varun And Lavanya
In terms of his work, Varun Tej just wrapped up filming for his forthcoming Telugu action movie, Gandeevadhari Arjuna. It is said to be an espionage thriller that Parveen Sattaru is directing, primarily filmed overseas. The movie is almost ready to premiere on August 25. It appears that two weeks after his engagement, Varun will start advertising his forthcoming film.
On the other hand, Lavanya’s most recent appearance was in the Telugu comedy Happy Birthday from a year ago. She had dual roles in the movie. Lavanya just debuted her OTT in the Telugu television serial Puli Meka, where she played a police officer. She recently spoke with OTTPlay about her first time ever portraying a police officer, “To bring the command a cop needs, it was initially difficult for me. But as days passed on, I started loving the challenge and also did a lot of action which was showcased in a realistic manner”.
