For all those who are unaware of the term, we would like to inform that casting couch is the term used when someone asks for physical favors for offering a role in the movie or serial. 1. Kalki Koechlin
Kalki Koechlin has to witness the casting couch many times. She stated that she was asked for physical favors during the auditions but she denied.
2. Shilpa Shinde
Shilpa Shinde became quite popular from the show named “Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai”. However, she left the show due to some controversies. In 2017, she stated that the producer of the show would touch her inappropriately and physically harassed her.
3. Preeti Jain
According to Preeti Jain, Madhur Bhandarkar promised her to cast in his film and raped her. She even hired someone to kill Madhur Bhandarkar but she was arrested.
4. Surveen Chawla
Before working in Bollywood Movies or Punjabi movies, Surveen had a brief career in South Indian film industry. She stated that during her early days she would be asked for physical favors each time would go for auditions.
5. Payal Rohtagi
Payal Rohtagi also reported the same situation when she auditioned for Shanghai. She said that Dibakar Banerjee asked her to go topless during the audition. She did not do so and was eventually thrown out of the cast. However, Dibakar denies the accusations.
