Gadar 2’s opening-day performance is nothing short of spectacular. With an impressive overall occupancy of over 60% and a collection of Rs 40.10 crore on its Day 1, the night shows soared to a staggering 86% occupancy rate. This even outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan on its opening day, although Pathaan retains the record for the most prominent Bollywood debut with Rs 55 crore. Gadar 2 also outshined Prabhas’ mythological epic Adipurush, which made its debut with Rs 32 crore.

Competition And Audience Appeal
Gadar 2 faced unexpected competition from digital releases, such as Adipurush, that premiered on streaming platforms. Despite this, the film managed to target its North Indian audience effectively, unlike Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which primarily caters to South India. The success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani during the past two weeks in theaters also added to the overall film landscape.

Projections for Gadar 2’s opening weekend suggest a staggering collection of Rs 120 crore, with the extended Independence Day holiday weekend potentially yielding Rs 175 crore. Single-screen theaters across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Gujarat reported record-breaking numbers.
