Today’s Anupama Episode of October 11, 2023, opens with her searching through Samar’s childhood items. She touches the tiny outfits made for Samar and then sees a small board with her name on it. Anupama looks at her name written there and adds, “It hurts like hell to think that Samar wrote her name the first time he learned to write.” She starts to wipe away the tears that are falling on her name as she hears Samar’s voice questioning her about why she is taking away the “ma” from Anupama.

Anupama Doubts Herself
Anupama claims that she has not been a good mother to him and that she could not shield her child from impending danger. Samar informs her that he has told her numerous times that she is the best mother he could ask for. Samar responds that she is not a god who can truly prolong a person’s life when she claims that she failed to save her from death. He further claims that since God had so much life predetermined for him, neither she nor Anuj should be held accountable for anything that occurred.
Samar’s Golden Words
When Anupama hears Anuj’s name, her eyes widen with curiosity. Samar then grabs her hand and begs her to swear to him that she will lift the family’s spirits and pull them all out of the shadow of melancholy. When Anupama claims she can’t handle anything so challenging, Samar tells her to stop sobbing since he will never be content if he sees her always in tears. According to Samar, people cannot just cease living because one person passes away and leaves this world; death is a natural part of existence.
Anupama regains control over her feelings and smiles at Samar when her tells her that he’ll be unable to be happy if they continue to be depressed every day. Samar vanishes into thin air when Anupama writes her name on the slate once more.
Anupama Changes Her Behavior
Leela asks Anupama how the pain went away so quickly after everyone is startled to see her making food for everyone while grinning. Anupama says that she would want to have pleasant memories of Samar rather than a sobbing face.
She further explains to everyone how their grief has prevented Samar from being free. She states that she wants Samar to be happy and carry his ideals with him wherever he goes.
Ankush Helps Anuj
Ankush arrives and encourages Anuj to focus on his work, but Anuj appears preoccupied with thoughts of Anupama. Anuj urges Ankush to set up all of the meetings after Ankush tells him that they must go on in life. Ankush turns Anuj the other way to face Anupama at the door as Anuj asks him impatiently how he can handle being apart from her.
Anupama welcomes Anu with a hug and heads inside to assist with the school project. Anuj then requests that Ankush and Barkha speak with Anupama.
