The Bhagya Lakshmi episode from today, December 31, 2023, begins with Rishi contemplating how he might help Lakshmi escape the asylum as his gaze lands on the doll that Lakshmi plays with. After assuring the doll that he knows what to do, Rishi triggers a flashback in which Lakshmi converses with the doll and relates a tale about how fate works to safeguard a baby’s money. When Lakshmi reminds Rishi that God opens one window when another closes, it inspires him to take action in the here and now.

Malishka’s Shocking Statement
Malishka informs Sonal that they will be free of Lakshmi after the next day because she has had an epiphany, but Rishi chooses to enter the asylum through a window instead. When Sonal asks Malishka if the idea is safe, she responds that everything will work out since she has thought it through with thorough planning.
Sonal is shocked by Malishka’s statement that she must stay in touch with Balwinder and the doctor since they are the ones who will execute the plan on her behalf. Sonal had no idea that Malishka was in communication with Balwinder.
Malishka responds that she is careful this time to avoid making any mistakes when Sonal encourages her to exercise caution so that she is not put in danger.
Rishi Threatens The Doctor
In the meantime, Rishi arrives at the asylum and goes through a window to enter the structure before reaching the doctor’s office. The doctor asks Rishi what he is doing there, to which Rishi responds that he has come to get Lakshmi out of there, looking astonished as Rishi greets him from behind. The doctor is astonished when Rishi threatens to stab him in the throat and points a syringe at him while he won’t let Lakshmi go.
After expressing his willingness to go to any lengths for Lakshmi, Rishi requests that the doctor prepare a report certifying that Lakshmi is well so that he can go. With trembling hands, the doctor writes the reports and hands Rishi the keys to Lakshmi’s room. Rishi then exits the room, promising to return and exact revenge.
The Snake Confrontation
When Rishi enters the chamber after hearing Lakshmi’s voices outside, he is startled to see that there is a snake within. They attempt to shoo the snake away from themselves so they may leave the room after Lakshmi gives Rishi an immediate hug. But with the nurse’s assistance, the doctor exits his chamber and locks Lakshmi’s room door, trapping both Lakshmi and Rishi inside. The doctor tells Rishi to stay with the snake since it has attempted to threaten him, but Rishi begs to be allowed outside because there is a snake inside.
While the doctor tells Malishka that Rishi has come to take Lakshmi away, Rishi bravely traps the snake in a cotton bag. After rendering Rishi unconscious, Malishka tells Sonal that Rishi has made her plan for the following day easier and requests the doctor take him into custody. When Lakshmi’s chamber door suddenly opens, Rishi and Lakshmi emerge with the snake and confront the nurse and doctor, who are attempting to stop them.
