The Jhanak episode from today, January 7, 2024, opens with Anirudh asking Jhanak whether she would like to wed Rahul. Jhanak gives him a startled expression. Anirudh tells her that he is aware that it’s none of his concern, and she won’t answer, saying it’s too personal. However, he insists she confesses.

Anirudh Teases Jhanak
When he makes fun of her and asks whether she’s too scared to admit it, she yells at him and tells him to stop saying things like that. Anirudh then reprimands her for making matters worse by pretending to be married in front of his family. Furthermore, when she initially objects but eventually leaves, he begs her to return to her room and promises to come up with a plan for the sindur ceremony.
Jhanak, however, adamantly denies any participation when Tanuja confronts her after noticing her leaving Ani’s room. She also instructs Tanuj to speak with Anirudh directly because there’s no need to keep asking her about the circumstances.
Anirudh’s Family Questions Him
When Anirudh’s father phones in the meantime and inquires as to whether Jhanak was with him the entire evening, Ani cuts him off before he can finish accusing him. While Ani’s sister challenges Jhanak’s motivation for only speaking with Anirudh in private, he informs everyone that she came to him just five minutes ago because she had an urgent matter to discuss. When she inquires about the significant and pressing work that Jhanak has, Anirudh responds that he doesn’t have to tell her everything. But when his father asks the same questions, he responds that Jhanak was discussing leaving the house and shows him the letter that Jhanak handed him.
Jhanak’s life is in danger with Tejas; therefore, Anirudh is adamant that she stay. He claims he wouldn’t have brought her if he intended to have her go since he wants to keep her safe. Remembering all that transpired in Kashmir at the time, he tells his parents that Jhanak cannot leave the house, no matter how claustrophobic or uncomfortable she feels.
When Ani’s sister questions him about his feelings for Jhanak, he responds once more that it’s not necessary to tell her everything and asks why he’s not ready to let her go. While Jhanak is battling with his family for Ani, he stands there motionless, adoring her and staring at everyone with horror.
Jhanak Gets Ready For The Ceremony
Later, she wears a crimson wedding saree, and when Anirudh walks into her room, she freaks out and yells at him for disturbing her so much every time. She panics even more when Ani tells her to calm down because he is in control of the situation, but she can’t because today is the ceremony.
When Jhanak asks him to confirm who will be on the video call, Ani stays silent, which makes Jhanak cry. He comforts her, saying he hopes she finds strength and happiness in the future. Just then, Jhanak hears two girls calling out his name, so she locks the room while Ani is in the same room and asks him to address the matter.
When Jhanak opens the door, the two girls make fun of her for being excited about the event, while Anirudh hides behind the curtain.
