The first season of Mirzapur centers on the Tripathi crime family, which is headed by Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi and controls the city’s opium and weapon trade. The wedding massacre that opens and closes the show traumatizes a lot of people. Munna (Divyendu Sharma) shoots the groom, and the Pandit brothers start to invade his life. Their father, Munna Bhaiya, offers the children a chance to participate in the family’s illicit business ventures. As they assist in growing the company, Munna’s dissatisfaction increases, and Kaleen questions Munna’s capacity to run the empire alone.

Munna plans to eliminate the Pandit brothers, Sweety, her crush, falls in love with Guddu, and Golu, her sister, defeats him to become a college president. Guddu and Bablu are driven to ascend the ranks of Kaleen Bhaiya’s empire and seize his throne because they demand more than what is given to them. This makes Munna envious. He makes plans to murder his father, Kaleen Bhaiya, but he never follows through on them. In the meantime, Beena, Kaleen Bhaiya’s wife, is being forced into an affair with Raja of his s*xual issues. Beena’s father-in-law, Satyanand Tripathi, rapes her and says he would get the future bloodline if Kaleen is unable to conceive her.

Guddu marries Sweety, who subsequently becomes pregnant. As the tension increases, more people die as a result of the Gorakhpur wedding, including Bablu, who is brutally executed in front of a shocked Guddu. There are parallels between the show and Game of Thrones: Ramakant Pandit’s family is comparable to the Starks, and the Tripathi dynasty is akin to the Lannisters. Illicit relationships and complex politics are prominent aspects of the drama, which centers on the Tripathi family’s relentless struggle to hold onto power.

The second season of the Mirzapur centers on the pursuit of revenge. Guddu and Golu pledge to ascend to the kingdom of Mirzapur after surviving a wedding slaughter. Throughout the season, Kaleen Bjhaiya and Munna also show support for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Surya Pratap, who develops feelings for Madhuri, Pratap’s widowed daughter. Munna’s plot is foiled when Madhuri takes over as CM following the death of the previous one. Beena becomes pregnant and tells Kaleen falsehoods about the baby’s paternity while Sharad Shukla plans to turn on Kaleen Bhaiya. Although Munna lives, Kaleen Bhaiya accuses Munna of causing the chaos, which sparks a fight for dominance between father and son.

One of Dadda Tyagi’s twin boys dies after Chhote executes his uncle in Bihar for engaging in illicit opium sales. Munna believes his father dispatched a hitman to Mirzapur, but he is unable to hurt Kaleen. Unexpectedly, Munna is appointed by Kaleen to succeed Bauji. Further, Golu and Guddu attack Kaleen Bhaiya to kill Munna and wound him. When Guddu ascends to the Mirzapur throne, the balance of power is significantly altered.

Mirzapur Season 3

A preview of the next season is provided in the most recent teaser. It shows a return to the violent setting full of deceit, murder, conspiracy, and retaliation. In a lighthearted question, “Bhool toh nahi gaye humein?” Pankaj Tripathi alluded to the iconic character’s impending return in the teaser.

There were also brief appearances by other cast members. Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Shweta Tripathi, and Isha Talwar are seen in the teaser. The third season of the web series is probably going to focus more on retaliation, as Kaleen Bhaiya seeks justice for his son Munna, who was murdered in a Mirzapur cremation yard by Guddu and Golu.
