36 Days Series Review
To begin with, a good thriller show is majorly based on the writing. However, this is exactly where 36 Days falls short as the plot becomes very much predictable right from the first episode. Additionally, the twists in the narrative also seem quite predictable except for the last few. Therefore, you won’t feel the relief at the end since there’s no proper build-up. Although the direction looks good, the pacing of the series might also seem a major issue.
Moving ahead, the performances of the series are something to watch out for. At times when other aspects of a show fail to gather attention, the performances by the cast come to the rescue. Neha Sharma looks good as the protagonist of the series and shines in her performance. Additionally, Amruta Khanvilkar’s performance in the series is fine. Shruti Seth and Purab Kohli also performed their parts well especially with good expressions.
Sushant Divgikar and Chandan Roy Sanyal are also stunning in their parts. However, seeing a powerful actor like Sharib Hashmi in this below-average thriller feels a little odd. Apart from this, the series delves into the mental trauma of the characters, anguish, and mind games. The portrayal of all of these makes it quite relatable at times. Nevertheless, in terms of interest, it falls short in comparison to its source.
Final Verdict
This show has nothing new to offer, neither in plotline nor much in other aspects. Watching the 8 episodes will be rather tough due to its predictable nature. This is just not the thriller that will make you go in awe, but you can binge-watch it if you have nothing better to do this weekend. We rate this series 3 out of 5 stars.
