Actor Gaurav Sharma is one of the finest actors in the entertainment industry. He impresses everyone with his acting skills. He is famous for his roles in the movies like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Madras Cafe, and Batla House. Gaurav Sharma has worked in Inside Edge Season 2, and Chacha Vidhayak Hai Hamare, and in many ads. His new web series Cartel is released today. Recently, we had an exclusive conversation with Gaurav Sharma about his journey in the entertainment industry so far and his future projects.
Talking about his journey of becoming an actor, Gaurav Sharma told Cinetales,
“I was born in Lucknow and studied in Rajasthan. I always being passionate about becoming an actor. To fulfill my dream, I studied at FTII, Pune. In 2008, I came to Mumbai. Here my real struggle started. I worked in many ad films. The first film in which I got recognized is Gangs Of Wasseypur. I was in both parts of Gangs Of Wasseypur. Not many people are aware that I played a double role in the movie. In the first part, I was playing the character of Mohsin Khan, and in the second part, I played the role of Mohsin Khan’s son Ikhlaq Khan.”
“In Prime Video, Inside Edge 2, I was the head coach of the Mavericks team, Moses Alexander. There was also a Netflix project called A Billion Colour Story. It was the story of humanity that gained appreciation from the audience.”
His LG ad in which he plays a father who learns Maths from his daughter is very emotional. His simple persona of Amol Rane stands out in the short innovative story by LG. Gaurav Sharma also talked about his role in the ALT Balaji thriller web series Cartel. He added,
“You will see me as a police officer. I am playing ACP Dixit in the series. The character is important for the storyline as it is like a rope between right and wrong. The story and the characters are the USP of this web series. The audience will surely be going to enjoy this thriller.”
Gaurav Sharma will also be seen in the movie Uma. Talking about his upcoming projects, Gaurav said,
“Many projects are in pipeline. I have finished the shooting of some, while some of them will be on floors soon. I am working in the movie Uma costars Kajal Aggarwal, Tinu Anand, Harsh Chhaya, and Meghna Malik. Though, I can’t reveal much about this project, but in other projects, I am also working with Annu Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi to name a few. Vikalp is also my upcoming project with Neha Sharma and Anshul Chauhan. It is a short film.”
Gaurav Sharma puts a lot of effort into any character he plays. His confident body language, dialogue delivery make him a versatile actor. The audience wants to see more of Gaurav Sharma. With his more projects coming soon, we are sure the audience will get what they want.
