Adipurush was released in theatres on June 16 and stars Prabhas as Raghava, also known as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, sometimes known as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, also known as Ravana. Adipurush finally has its OTT premiere on Friday, August 11, around two months after its theatrical debut. The production crew didn’t make any notable statements. The four South Indian languages in which Prime Video broadcasts the film are Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Netflix is also offering the Hindi version of the movie for streaming. The mythical drama’s original versions were created in Telugu and Hindi and dubbed into other languages.

Om Raut’s directorial was made on an estimated budget of over Rs 600 crore. The movie is one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema history. This is why, despite collecting a gross global collection of Rs 390 crore, it has proven to be a tremendous commercial flop. After Saaho and Radhe Shyam, this is Prabhas’ third big disappointment, but the Baahubali actor hopes to rebound with Salaar, which opens on September 28.
