The trailer of Farhan Akhtar’s Agni was released today and it has all the elements of an entertainment package. The movie stars Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Sai Tamhankar, and Saiyami Kher. This is the first-ever movie made in appreciation of firefighters. Pratik takes the lead role of a firefighter and Divyenndu takes on the role of a police officer. The trailer presents many things to ponder upon. It also draws a powerful comparison between the profession of firefighter and police, and how the former is more like a backstage hero.
Agni Trailer
The trailer is sequenced in a very interesting manner. It gives a glimpse of the firefighting adventures of the movie. As the trailer runs further, a scene comes having school kids interacting with firefighters after their tour. A firefighter asks them a question, “Whom should you call during the fire?”, to which a kid replies out of fun “God”. This scene draws a very subtle comparison of “Firefighters” to “God” at the time of fire.
In the next scene, Pratik Gandhi takes a brave entry while fighting the fire. His character is portrayed as a proud professional. He is upset with the underrated treatment that firefighters get even after being the real heroes at the time of the fire. He complained about this multiple times, how police take credit for the work done by firefighters.
After this, the entry of Divyenndu as a police officer happens. He is a very savage police
officer who has a good sense of humor. Pratik’s character and Divyenndu’s character have a bumpy relationship at the start. Pratik doesn’t like the fact that Divyenndu (police) gets all the praise and awards for the bravery shown by firefighters. Later on, they join hands to solve the case of unexplained waves of fire in the city. With this partnership, the trailer comes to an end showing glimpses of both of them fighting the case.
Agni Trailer Review
The trailer very well gives you the essence of the movie. The flow of the trailer is well-defined. First, it shows the stiff that occurs between firefighters and police because of the credit issue. But how for the greater cause, both departments work in coalition and have the same goal of the citizens’ safety.
The trailer will provoke different thoughts in the minds of the audience. Agni trailer reflects, how casual the system, people, and society are towards the measures for fire safety. By the end of the trailer, the audience will surely have a newfound respect for firefighters.
Agni is directed and written by Rahul Dholakia, who is known for directing SRK’s Raees. The background music of the trailer is also engaging. The trailer has been cut impressively with very groovy beats that reflect the danger yet the coolness the firefighting profession holds. Agni trailer has a suspense build-up of music, to intrigue the audience into the story. The visuals and cinematography are also worth appreciation. It is all about the courage, honor, and sacrifice of firefighters.
Overall, the trailer is very engaging and the movie also seems worth watching. It is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. Agni will premiere on December 6 at Prime Video. Stay tuned with us for reviews and more updates.
