Ajay Devgn is directing the upcoming Bollywood movie Mayday. Mayday starring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Angira Dhar in lead roles. Ajay Devgn is coming back to direction after the 2016 movie Shivaay.
Mayday is set to have an ‘edge-of-the-seat drama. Ajay Devgn will be seen playing the role of a pilot. The role of Amitabh Bachchan has been kept under wraps. Recently, Ajay Devgn shared his experience in directing legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Ajay Devgn said that it is a delight to work with Amitabh Bachchan. Ajay Devgn said in an interview,
“He is a delight to work with. I’ve never seen a more dedicated actor, we are nothing in front of him. Once he is on set, he will keep rehearsing, keep thinking about the scene. It’s phenomenal.”
Ajay Devgn also talked about his equation with Amitabh Bachchan. He said that his equation with Big B goes beyond the actor-director relationship. He added,
“I’ve known him since I was a kid. So whatever I had to take away from him, I must’ve taken it back then. It’s imbibed. With him, it’s a different rapport.”
“From childhood, I could tell him whatever I wanted to. It took him two minutes to come on board. One narration and that’s it.”
Talking about the updates on Mayday, Ajay Devgn said that the shooting is almost complete with only five days of shoot remaining. Recently, Ajay Devgn was seen in Bhuj The Pride Of India released in Disney+ Hotstar. The movie received a mixed response from the audience.
Ajay Devgn has many upcoming movies lined up with Maidaan. He will be seen as the legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Talking about other projects, Ajay Devgn will be seen in Indra Kumar’s directed slice-of-life comedy, Thank God. He will also be seen in SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited RRR. Ajay Devgn will reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali 22 years after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Talking about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again, Ajay said
“It was great to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I’ve always had a great rapport with him. It felt like we picked it up from where we had stopped. It was as comfortable working with him now as it was then.”
Apart from this, Ajay Devgn has begun shooting for his digital debut web series Rudra – The Edge of Darkness.
