However, when the journey of an entertainer ends, it leaves us in grief. Recently, the popular actress Sridevi died and left the entire country mourning. Last night, another popular actress died. Amita Udgata died of lungs failure last night.

Amita Udgata predominantly worked on the small screen. According to a source on Indianexpress.com, “Amita Udgata passed away yesterday night and was on life support for last 3-4 days. She passed away due to lung failure.” Amita became quite popular for playing a key role in the Star Plus’ drama serial Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya. She was last seen on TV in Zee TV’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke, where she played the role of Dadi Bua.

Amita was associated with Doordarshan from 1979 to 1990. From their she got her raised her career and later she became a household name for her performance in TV serials. Actress Abha Parmar expressed her grief and said, “We were more like sisters than friends. I am from Kanpur and she was from Lucknow. I wasn’t aware that her condition so serious. And, I was supposed to visit her today. She was a great actress and a friend and we have faced life’s struggles together.”

 

She Also Appeared In Some Bollywood Movies

She appeared in many other TV shows including Maharana Pratap, Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo, and Doli Armaano Ki. Besides that, she was also seen in some Bollywood movies including Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit.

It is a tough moment for her family, our thoughts are with them. May her soul rest in peace.
