The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is still a mystery. There have been more than one and a half months but there is no clue why Sushant has committed suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput was just 34 when he was found dead in his Bandra apartment. A few days back, Kangana Ranaut came in an interview with Arnab Goswami. Now Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has broken her silence on his death in an interview with Arnab Goswami to Republic TV. Ankita Lokhande said that Sushant Singh Rajput could not have been depressed.
She said,
“Sushant was not the guy who could commit suicide. We have seen worse situations when we were together. He was a happy-go-lucky guy,”.
Ankita Lokhande told Arnab in an interview that,
“He wanted to do farming, I know this for sure… he told me agar kuch nai hua to main apni short film bana lunga. He was not a depressed guy, not at all. I don’t want people to remember him as a depressed guy. Depression is a wrong word to use for Sushant. I have seen this man work so hard for himself. He started with theatres, then serial – he was a big star on TV, he was a Hero, he left TV when he was at his peak because he wanted something big. He tried films, he was a creative man. He did films. I cannot believe the ‘depressed’ narrative. He waited for 3 years for that one break in films. He was sitting at home. Not everyone has that patience. He had that patience.”
Ankita continued,
“How much ever I know him, he wasn’t a depressed guy. I have not seen a person like Sushant, a guy who used to write his own dreams, he had a diary… He had his 5-year plan — what he wants to do, how he will look, etc. And exactly after 5 years, he had fulfilled them. And when things like ‘depression’ are used after his name… it is heartbreaking. He might be upset, anxious, yes, but depression is a big word. Calling someone ‘bipolar’ is a big thing.”

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput met on the sets of their famous television show Pavitra Rishta. Both were in a relationship for six years until 2016. Ankita Lokhande also said that even after their breakup, Sushant Singh Rajput wished me for my debut movie Manikarnika.
