Ashneer Grover Responds After Salman Khan Schools Him On Bigg Boss

In a recent episode of “Bigg Boss 18,” Bollywood star Salman Khan somehow managed to appeal to what is said publicly and how accuracy and honesty matter to former judge of “Shark Tank India” Ashneer Grover. The televised nationwide conversation reminded viewers of the responsibility brought by the visibility and influence that public figures command.

The stage was set when Salman Khan, talking with a right mix of seriousness and straightforwardness, approached Ashneer Grover about previous statements he made that he said had misled Salman.

“Meeting was not held with you but with your team. Maybe you were also present there. We have not had any discussions. I saw what you said. You presented that we made a fool of you. This is not right. Salman clarified that you gave the wrong numbers, addressing the discrepancies directly and publicly. This confrontation, though strictly about correcting misinformation, brought home the need to maintain integrity in communication with public figures.”

Then there was Ashneer Grover, candid on the “Shark Tank India,” seeming almost shocked by the forthrightness of the confrontation but still listening intently. At the same time, Salman continued to explain the situation. Indeed, Salman was quite educative in correction as well because public misstatements can have further implications beyond reputation. It can significantly influence how people perceive them and their relationships.

Salman’s advice to Ashneer was laced with the wisdom of a guy who has paddled through the choppy waters of celebrity status for decades. He advised,

“The way you speak, you did not have the same attitude in that video. I do not feel bad about anything, but it is not right to give a wrong impression about anyone. I just got to know that you are coming here. I did not know your name also. Since I had seen your video, I recognized your face. I think you should be careful about how you present yourself.”

This preaching has reached the heart of ethical behavior—to be in touch with oneself and the effect of what a person says or does. What has happened on “Bigg Boss” is an eye-opener for Ashneer and for people as a whole. It clearly showed how public personas balance transparency with tact so they don’t unknowingly mislead or mislead their audience.

At the same time, Salman’s mediation and mentoring role in the situation provided a reality show that’s often desecrated for thinking more about the entertaining factor rather than the substance itself, with an authentic and serious touch.

Ashneer took up Salman’s backhanded compliment in a very quiet apology and acceptance, admitting that he had made the wrong move and was sorry about it. This scene probably resonated with viewers since misunderstandings can present opportunities for growth and mutual understanding when truth and honesty are applied. Ashneer Grover shared a long post on LinkedIn in response to Salman Khan”s remark. He clarified every comment and statement. He wrote,

“I hope you enjoyed the Bigg Boss weekend ka Vaar! I had good fun. And I am sure the particular episode got great TRP / viewership. BTW all of the statements below are TRUE: Salman is a great host & actor. Salman knows what works on Bigg Boss. I’ve always praised Salman for his sense of self and business – not a single thing demeaning said for him ever. My deal numbers are always correct (bank/auditor verified).

Met Salman in an exclusive meeting on the brand collab for 3 hours in May 2019 in JW Marriott Juhu – along with the director of ad (it’s ok if he doesn’t remember me – I was not a public figure then – he meets tons of people). The invite for coming as guest on Bigg Boss was not ‘unnamed’ – just like the cheque for the same 😉 And finally I’ve a pic with him – which I didn’t earlier (with no managers around). Thanks Salman Khan. Keep rocking!”

Overall, this episode of “Bigg Boss” was a very insightful study on communication, reputation management, and the ethics of public dialogue. It gave yet another strong reminder about the power of words. This time Salman Khan made sure to teach Ashneer Grover a lesson.
