The story of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is about a couple who have a long love story life spans 23 years from 2000 to 2023. Additionally, the narrative delves into the emotional and growing journey of their love over the two decades. However, Krishna is a part of multiple murders and gets the punishment of life imprisonment.
Vasudha and Krishna have to part their ways now and Vasudha soon gets married to Abhijeet. After another 2 decades when Krishna is coming out after getting pardon, he wishes to meet Vasudha. Is it the one final meeting between Krishna and Vasudha?

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a complex love story that is filled with romance and mystery. The story also has several twists and turns that add thrill to the movie. With this movie, the writer-director brings a love story that takes you to nostalgia. But director Neeraj Pandey has made better films in the past like A Wednesday, Special 26, and even MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The storytelling is nice, but the film has been overstretched. AMKDT is like an old wine in a new bottle. The interesting aspect of the movie is that it features one recurring and highly underrated onscreen pair Ajay Devgn and Tabu.
They bring a sense of gut-wrenching sincerity to the story. The chemistry they bring on-screen creates magic. The younger versions of the protagonists Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari as young Tabu and Ajay also look impressive in their lighter moments. However, some scenes threaten to completely derail the flow of the narrative. The first half is extremely slow with an outdated narrative, and a predictable story. Thankfully, the film has some extraordinary performances that keep it on track. Ajay Devgn, as always, plays his part with perfection. Be it his acting skills or the dialogue delivery, he wins at expressing real emotions.
Tabu, on the other hand, is also very impressive in her role. She is herself an institution of acting. Moving ahead, Jimmy Sheirgill in the role of Tabu’s on-screen husband, played his part well. He is a highly underrated actor.
All the other characters have done their job brilliantly and deserve a huge round of applause. Meanwhile, music also plays a great role in the screenplay of this movie as we hear Jubin Nautiyal’s voice in the songs.
AMKDT Final Verdict
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a movie full of emotions, mystery, and action. However, the overstretched runtime and outdated narrative can test your patience. Still, the film has brilliant performances and melodious music. We rate this movie 3 stars out of 5.
