The film has collected over INR 300 crore worldwide. This worldwide success has given Ayan Mukerji the confidence to take Brahmastra ahead and explore Astraverse.

The second part of Brahmastra is already announced. There is an announcement of Brahmastra Part Two: Dev at the end of Part 1. According to IndiaToday, the sources reveal that Ayan Mukerji is ready to take Brahmastra ahead with multiple films like Jalastra and Vanarastra on different timelines and make it a large-scale Astraverse. The sources reveal,
“A lot was riding on the box office success of Brahmastra. If the film emerged as a box office success, the makers planned to explore this desi superhero universe further. Brahmastra has clocked over Rs 300 crore worldwide at the ticket window, and these numbers have given the makers the confidence to take the storyline ahead and explore various astras and their origins.”
Brahmastra is already the second highest weekend grosser Indian film of 2022 after KGF: Chapter 2. It is also the highest weekend grosser Bollywood film. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will also be part of Brahmastra Part Two: Dev and the work on the second installment will start soon.
Talking to Indian Express, director Ayan Mukerji said they have learned how to make movies like Brahmastra, and we are excited about the second part. He has not announced the date specifically but said we have a target of December 2025 for the second installment. Ayan concluded that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor would also be part of the next Brahmastra films, and work on this will start soon.
