The ninth episode of Bhagya Lakshmi to air on October 9, 2023, opens with Lakshmi informing Neelam that despite her repeated refusals of Rishi, he is still unwilling to leave her. Neelam claims that Lakshmi is the cause of Rishi’s inability to see his family, and she wants Lakshmi to leave his life.

Furious Neelam
When Neelam hears Lakshmi’s concern, she laughs and responds that she is worried Rishi may do something risky and endanger his life if she goes without warning him. According to Neelam, Lakshmi is doing everything on purpose because she wants Rishi to follow her around constantly. Lakshmi informs Neelam that she cannot persuade her of her intentions since she is not attempting to do so, and she further refuses to leave Rishi until she is certain he won’t harm himself either physically or emotionally. After Lakshmi won’t let Rishi go without making sure he gets home on his own, Neelam flees the scene with boiling blood.

Rishi returns home in the upcoming episode and runs across Lakshmi in the mall. In order to persuade Lakshmi to marry him, Rishi makes a major decision. Ayush and Shalu then appear and encourage Rishi to take the initiative. Lakshmi watches in disbelief as Rishi kneels and asks her to consent to their marriage. Everyone in the market looks at Rishi as he asks Lakshmi to marry him and begs her to say yes since he is doing his best. Malishka and Karishma go there in the meantime to see whether Lakshmi is leaving and are astonished to see Rishi ask Lakshmi to marry him. As Rishi and Lakshmi are getting wed, Malishka storms out of the area, incensed, and claims that Neelam is unable to stop it.
In another scene, Harleen overhears Neelam heading to visit Lakshmi and questions whether she’s attempting to place a value on the love between Rishi and Lakshmi, something no one can do. Later, Malishka informs Sonal that she is aware of the technique necessary to split Lakshmi from Rishi.
