This Diwali, we saw the biggest clash at the Box Office, Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Anees Bazmee directed, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Rajesh Sharma, and Ashwini Kalsekar. BB3 is ruling at the box office in its second week. The movie was released during the Diwali season and started with Rs. 100 crore in its opening weekend, despite facing tough competition with Singham Again and having fewer screens.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Shows Increased In Second Week
At the time of the release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was allotted 40% of screens, with 60% of screens allotted to Singham Again. It seems like the slow and steady is winning the race for BB3. In the release of its first week, BB3 faced competition with Singham Again for screens. It secured around 40% of the screens while Singham Again got 60% in the first week. However, BB3 gained more attention and showcasing now, as after waiting patiently for a week, this horror comedy has taken over the cop universe and has the majority of the screens. As of November 9, BB3 has 51% of the screens in its second week.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Vs Singham Again
As of the end of the first week, Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again collected Rs 186.60 crore in India, while Kartik Aryan starrer BB3 collected Rs 168.86 crore. There is a difference of Rs 17.74 crore between them. However, on Day 7 collection of both movies indicated that this lead might reduce and horror-comedy might take the lead. Singham Again collected Rs 11.20 crore, while Bhool BhuIaiyaa 3 collected Rs 12.21 crore on Day 7.
On Day 8, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 collected Rs 12.40 crore, making its total collection to Rs 181.26 crore. In week 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is being favored by cinema houses and gained more screens. This horror-comedy might beat cop-actioner slowly and gradually on a day-to-day basis.
Why Does Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Have An Edge?
Both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again have a similar collection on international screens. The Indian box office’s collection will decide the final result. Singham Again is made on a whopping budget of Rs 350 to 375 crore. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is made on a budget of Rs 150 crore. BB3 is a smaller film in terms of production cost and budget. Thus, even if both films have a similar collection range by the end of their run, it will still be a win for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
