We often idolize our favorite celebrities, thinking whatever they say is the absolute truth, but this might not always be the case. While this may shock you, some Bollywood celebrities lied in public in an unimaginably ridiculous manner. Here is a list of the Bollywood celebrities who lied but were caught red-handed.
1. Ranveer Singh
In an interview, Ranveer Singh said he did not have enough money while growing up. His family had trouble saving up for one big summer vacation. In another interview, this same Bollywood icon mentioned how he used to enjoy holidays in the USA! He even said he is an outsider in this big industry, but many questions have often been raised about his links with the Kapoors.
2. Abhishek Bachchan
Well-known actor Abhishek Bachchan has also been caught red-handed. He mentioned in one of his promotional interviews for a decent watch film named Raavan that he performed many threatening and hazardous stunts during the film’s shoot in Karnataka. A while later, the truth was brought to light when MS Balram, a Bangalore-based diving champion, revealed it was he who performed the stunts for the film.
3. Parineeti Chopra
The recipient of several accolades, Parineeti Chopra, is one talented actress. To your surprise, she is also a part of this list. Parineeti mentioned in an interview that she had been teased during her school days because her family had financial issues. This statement of hers, however, was short-lived. One of her schoolmates of Parineeti falsified her claim by sharing it on social media.
4. Ananya Panday
Ananya Panday recently rocked in Koffee with Karan. In an old interview, she said she left off an opportunity to sign in USC Annenberg School of Journalism and Communication. Instead, she claimed to do so because she wanted to pursue an acting career. Her school friend, however, confirmed that this was never the case as she never applied for it.
5. Shah Rukh Khan
King Khan, too, has been found lying in front of a vast audience. It is to everyone’s knowledge that he claims to have no prior connection with the Bollywood industry. However, as per reports, many affirmations tell his parents had some links. His father is said to have a canteen in the NSD, while his mother knew Dilip Kumar’s family very well.
6. Deepika Padukone
Another ridiculous lie comes from our fireball of talent, Deepika Padukone. Without due consideration, she once mentioned to the public how she had never been on a date. This B-town beauty said while she was dating her current husband, Ranveer Singh. The world was also well aware of her prior affairs, like the one with Ranbir Kapoor.
While you may idolize your favorite Bollywood celebrities, do know that they do not always tell the truth!
