Even her family support starts fading because of her father’s death and brother’s illness. Malti files a PIL to ban the sale of acids, due to which the case of acid attack gets attention from the entire nation. Malti’s lawyerArchana played by Madhurjeet Sarghi stands with her in this stiff journey. Malti gets support from Vikrant Massey who plays the character of Amol. He runs an NGO and employs Malti to work in it.
Chhapaak Review
Without a doubt, Deepika Padukone is the soul of the movie. She portrayed the character of Malti to perfection. Her performance as Malti looks so real that it can even left you with tears. Vikrant Massey and Madhurjeet Sarghi deliver strong performances. Director Meghna Gulzar who is known for the movies like Talvar, Raazi, did an incredible job to put this brave story in front of the audience. Some stories should be told and Chhapaak is one of them.
The dialogues of the movie will melt your heart. Kitna acha hota agar acid bikta hi nahi, milta hi nahi to fikta hi nahi.’ This dialogue is full of inspiration, Unhone meri surat badli hai, mann nahi.’ The trailer of the movie was very well received by the audience. The music of the movie is good with two songs in the movie. Overall, Chhapaak is a very sensitive and equally emotional film that tells us the horrendous crime against the women and the pain she suffers. We give Chhapaak 3.5 stars out of 5.
