He seems uneasy about treating female patients. While attending medical school, his career goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon. Rakul Preet Singh plays the role of Dr. Fatima in the movie. She is also Ayushmann’s colleague in this context.
Rakul also engages in some ragging and is his love interest as well. He learns this after finding himself the lone male student in the gynecology department. Sheeba Chaddha portrays the role of Ayushmann’s mother as she uses Tinder to find love. In the film, Shefali Shah plays the role of Dr. Nandini. She is Ayushmann Khurrana’s senior and also counsels him to lose the “male touch.” He struggles to get above his fear and comprehend his patient’s issues. He also kisses Rakul passionately in the movie in between the chaos.
