Dupahiya Web Series Review

Dupahiya delves into themes of togetherness, pride, and crimes such as the dowry system, gender bias, and inequality, all while maintaining a fun tone. The writers, Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi, have beautifully crafted this village world. The dowry system, unity, and community life, everything is just perfect. The story is so well-written and well-directed that it acts as an impactful social commentary in every single scene of the web series.
Speaking about the performances, Shivani Raghuvanshi makes sure to portray her character with finesse. Komal Kushwaha also portrays her part with utmost dedication. Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane are, as always, the brightest shining stars of the series. They play their parts wholeheartedly. Sparsh Srivastava was brilliant in his performance. Additionally, Avinash Dwivedi also plays the character of the groom, and his on-spot acting skills are a banger. All other supporting cast members also played their parts well. Bhuvan Arora and Yashpal Sharma played their parts well.

In addition to this, the subplots of the series are also very attention-grabbing. It includes the focus on the skin colour of women, the migration of villagers to cities, the need for education, and the dowry system. The background music of the series will also keep you hooked. Yes, the nine-episode series is slow and takes its own time to build up. But this is where its simplicity lies, that beautifully crafted rural life.
Final Verdict
