Emraan Hashmi Exposes Bollywood Award Functions
In a recent podcast with Subhankar Mishra, Emraan expressed his views on Bollywood Award functions. Mishra asked him his views on the Bollywood awards. Answering the question, the forthright actor claimed to have forgotten the accolades he had received but to have understood the workings of this. He said that it’s a deal if someone performs for them. Any actor who wishes to use trophies to adorn their living room might benefit from the barter arrangement. However, he believes that winning an award based on a barter arrangement rather than one’s performance’s merits is worthless.
Hashmi has been an astounding Bollywood actor. He has received several awards for his supporting and negative roles in various movies. From International Icon awards to web awards, Emran has always proved to stand out.
Emraan Hashmi Takes A Dig At Kangana Ranaut
During the podcast, Subhankar asked Emraan whether he relates to Kangana Ranaut’s statement calling Bollywood awards ‘useless’. The Raaz actor answered this question in an unfiltered manner and supposedly took an indirect dig at Kangana Ranaut. Here’s what he answered:
“Kyuki milna band ho gaya phir uske baad? Mujhe ek award mila I forget for which I went to the award ceremony and mujhe iske baad iss cheez ka ek value pata chali ki iske peeche game kya hai. Agar aap perform kar rahe hein woh ek baat hai, it is essentially a barter deal.”
Kangana and Emraan have worked in several movies and have good chemistry. They share a decent bond off-screen as well. In fact, in one of the interviews, Emraan praised Kangana and stated that he likes her as an artist.
