One of the most anticipated and hyped films of 2022 by veteran actor Akshay Kumar had a lot of expectations from the netizens and fans in general. Samrat Prithviraj was a period drama based in the 12th century. A fearless Indian King Prithviraj Chauhan faces Mohammad Ghor but despite that, it failed to set the box office on fire. It was made on a budget of around Rs. 300 crores. However, it ended up collecting a lump sum of Rs. 90 crores. Samrat Prithviraj became one of the most expensive Bollywood flops.

 

2. Thugs Of Hindostan

Another worst Bollywood flop in the modern-day era of filmmaking was the 2018 movie that starred revered actor Aamir Khan and veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan along with talented, beautiful actress Katrina Kaif. Despite making a decent enough opening at the box office, Thugs of Hindostan failed to maintain the grandeur and steam that it created. This movie went through a colossal loss earning only around Rs. 150 crores in India. It was made on a budget of Rs 300 crores.

 

3. Dhaakad

A 2022 movie Dhaakad starring talented actress Kangana Ranaut too, came out as a flop flick this year. Dhaakad is an action film. However, the audience finds that the storyline could be much better. It was made on a budget of Rs 85 crores but only received Rs 2.58 crores in return. However, the sleek action scenes and acting of Arjun Rampal were good as per the netizen’s wordings. Kangana Ranaut’s painstaking efforts in each action sequence are worthy of appreciation. Still, the film failed to create any sort of spark and turned out to be a box office failure. It is one of the most expensive Bollywood flops.

 

4. Race 3

Race 3 was a movie of 2018 that received a backlash on a large scale and a loss of a few crores at the box office. It was made with a budget of 180 crores and collected around 165 crores only. A high-budget action thriller piece with marvelous actors was not up to the mark to woo the audience.
