Film’s Debut
Kalki 2898 AD is the new title for Prabhas’ Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film premiered at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in 2023. Project K, starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, is the first Indian film to get this prestigious honor. The film’s title and teaser were revealed during an event on July 20. The trailer depicts Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas stuck in a future world facing sinister forces. Furthermore, Kalki 2898 AD will hit the big screens in 2024.
Project K Is Now Kalki 2898 AD
The teaser for the movie was shown on July 20 at SDCC in the US, after the July 19 publication of Prabhas’ first look poster for “Kalki 2898 AD.” At an event headlined “This is Project K: First Glimpse of India‘s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic,” Prabhas and Kamal Haasan unveiled the teaser.
The movie’s storyline,s set in the far future of 2898 AD, skillfully combines sci-fi themes with an in-depth narrative and an unmatched and engaging cinematic experience. Deepika’s persona is shown in the teaser as an army recruit. The persona played by Prabhas is portrayed as a valiant warrior. The preview also shows Amitabh’s character covered in bandages. Moreover, a character may be seen at one point inquiring, “What is Project K?”

In the video, it is said that “When Darkness, a Hero Rises, takes over the Worlds,” The Kalki 2898 AD trailer depicts Prahas, Deepika, and other characters under the control of sinister powers and modern technology. The video includes the following lines: “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will arise. The end begins now.”

Nag Ashwin, of Mahanati renown, wrote and directed “Kalki 2898 AD.”The sci-fi movie was revealed on the occasion of Vyjayanthi Movies’ 50th anniversary. The movie is the most costly Indian movie ever, with a colossal budget of Rs 600 crore. The film is an international sci-fi production by Vyjayanthi Movies. On January 12, 2024, “Kalki 2898 AD” will finally be released in cinemas.
Disha Patani co-stars alongside top-notch actors and plays an equally significant part. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music for the film, which was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. Djordje Stojiljkovic handled the photography, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handled the editing.
