Balwaan, Suniel Shetty’s first film, bombed at the box office when it was released in 1992. However, he found success after his film Mohra, and his career only continued with Gopi Kishan after that. He was paid Rs 30 lakhs for Rajkumar Kohli’s Jaani Dushman.
6. Shah Rukh Khan
In the 1990s, King Khan had a string of box office hits. He gave hits like Dil To Pagal Hai, Yes Boss, Pardes, Karan Arjun, and all-time blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Reported he cost Rs 30 lakhs for Pardes.
7. Akshay Kumar
In 1994, when he had 12 films in a row, Akshay Kumar‘s star value skyrocketed. Following the release of his movie Mohra, the actor earned a stunning Rs 55 lakhs, with the zeroes only increasing with time. Cut to 2020, and the actor has apparently become the highest-paid actor globally, having signed Anand L Rai’s next film and reportedly charging Rs 120 crores for it reportedly. (You read that right.)
8. Nana Patekar
Nana Patekar’s price has risen to Rs 50 lakhs following his groundbreaking performances in films like Tirangaa and Krantiveer. He is also said to have contributed 90% of his earnings to charity.
