The Jhanak episode from today, December 23, 2023, opens with Arshi being irate about Anirudh’s actions. She says he has been blindly supporting Jhanak without understanding her true nature. Though Anirudh begs Arshi not to be upset with him, Arshi is unsatisfied. She cannot understand why Anirudh has stood up for and protected Jhanak from the beginning. Arshi assertively predicts that Jhanak, like her mother Urvashi, will betray her one day before discussing her romantic relationship with Rahul. Anirudh holds Arshi to calm her upset, but he can’t help but feel betrayed by Jhanak for not telling him about her romantic life.

A New House For Jhanak
While Anirudh wonders about Jhanak’s actions and how she deceived him, Arshi leaves to get coffee. Subsequently, Anirudh and Arshi agree that Jhanak should be taken to Shristi’s residence, and he decides to send her there. When Anirudh arrives at the Basu House, Rimi, Mimi, Bipasha, and her husband discuss Christmas.
They meet Anirudh, and then all of a sudden, Jhanak runs into him, and he yells at her, severely injuring her. When she refuses to stop interfering in his business, Anirudh decides he can no longer handle her. He decided to shift her to the Mukherjees on the 26th. Anirudh says she won’t travel to Srinagar when Jhanak declares she isn’t a shuttlecock and wants to visit.
Anirudh Wants Shyam Da To Serve Food
When Anirudh presses her to divulge her plans, she gets reprimanded by both his family and himself. His mother gives thanks to God that Jhanak will soon leave. She further instructs her to work correctly and then reheat the soup at Mimi’s request. However, Anirudh muses over whether or not he handled Jhanak correctly. However, he later comes to the conclusion that he did.
Shristi begins brainwashing Arshi about Jhanak’s continued seduction of Anirudh while promising to control her while in her care. Despite her growing faith in Shrishti, Arshi says she still believes in Anirudh since he won’t abandon her.
When Jhanak enters their home, Arshi tells Shrishti they will both become agitated due to her growing desperation. As Jhanak brings the soup, Mimi asks her to offer Anirudh some. But Anirudh begs Shyam Da to serve meals instead of her, who is forbidden from setting the table. When Anirudha calls and inquires whether she has eaten, she leaves. She declares that she is full of harsh words.
Jhanak Makes A Decision
At night, she cries because she is lonely and weeps when she thinks about Urvashi. Further, she feels claustrophobic and wants to flee the Basu residence. She stands up and records Anirudh’s strange conduct towards her in her diary.
Anirudha becomes restless upstairs, and Jhanak declares she does not want to live in the Basu household because she receives daily insults. She further declares that she is independent of others and resolves to confront Urvashi if fate has decreed her demise.
