The most-awaited official trailer for Jigra is released. Jigra, a Dharma Productions film is directed by Vasan Bala. The movie stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in lead roles. The trailer looks promising with a glimpse of action. Aditya Nanda and Manoj Pahwa are also seen in the trailer. The film surely promises to deliver the emotional and loving side of the brother-sister bond.
Jigra Trailer
The 3-minute 1-second trailer introduces us to Alia’s character Satya. She is seen talking to her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) over the call. Then the story shifts to Ankur being sentenced to death in 3 months. Satya plans to rescue Ankur. The trailer takes you to the prison where Ankur has been kept. Alia looking at him asks, “Koi pareshan toh nahi kar raha na andar.” To which Ankur replies, “Koi kya pareshan karega mujhe, aap jo meri didi ho, hazaaron meh ek.”
Alia Bhatt looks fearless in action sequences. Satya is seen competing against the time just to save her brother, who is being tortured in prison. The sibling bond will surely be the core of the film. The trailer ends with Satya saying, “She never said that she was the right person; she is just Ankur’s sister.”
Jigra Trailer Review
The trailer for Jigra looks intense. Alia Bhatt looked fearless. It is a race against time for her to save her brother from prison. The intense scene of a sister trying to rescue her brother from the torture is surreal. We did not get much of Vedang Raina in the trailer. However, the protective bond between the duo looks brilliant. The trailer has emotions, drama, and Alia Bhatt’s intensity. The BGM looks fine. However, in the teaser trailer that arrived on September 8, the song in the background, ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka, Sabka Kehna Hai, Ek Hazaaro Mein Meri Behena Hai’ was much better.
To be honest, looking at the trailer gives you a glimpse of a similar plot to Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi’s 1993 film Gumraah, and recently released Divya Khossla, Harshvardhan Rane, and Anil Kapoor’s film Savi. Hope Jigra has something different to offer. The fans were impressed with the trailer and appreciated the bond between the two. Watch the trailer here.
Vasan Bala has directed Jigra. While Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra produce it. Jigra is arriving on October 11 during Dussehra. It will clash with Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri, and Mallika Sherawat’s film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Jigra looks intense, while the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video trailer looks hilarious.
