Last night, April 12, Jio Studios staged a grand event in Mumbai to mark its anniversary. The production company also presented its future slate in India at the special event. It also features more than 100 movies and web series. Additionally, it was revealed that Jio Studios is working with famous directors as well.

Their upcoming films of popular directors include Raj Kumar Hirani, Sooraj Barjatya, Dinesh Vijan, Ali Abbas Zafar, and Aditya Dhar. Numerous celebrities were also present at the Jio Studios event in style. Shahid Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Aamir Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and other actors are a few among them.

Jio Studios is ready to offer over 100 stories in original web series and film genres. The other two movies on the list, in addition to others, are Dhoom Dhaam and Empire.
Web Series On The List
Laal Batti, directed by Prakash Jha, is one of the web originals Jio Studios has also announced. Sanjay Kapoor will also appear, and the show will be Nana Patekar’s digital debut. Union: The Making of India is one of the other shows. Ashutosh Rana and Kay Kay Menon both appear in it. The Magic of Shiri, starring TV star Divyanka Tripathi, and Bajao, the rapper Raftaar’s first appearance on a digital platform, are next on the list. Another film on the list is A Legal Affair, starring Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi. Another mini-Originals slate, including slice-of-life content, is in development by Jio Studios. Ishq Next Door, starring Natasha Bharadwaj and Abhay Mahajan, is among them. The Marathi, Gujarati, And Bengali Lineup
Baipan Bhari Deva, Four Blind Men, 1234, Kharvas, Kaata Kirrr, Khashaba, and Kaalsutra are all on the Marathi film slate. Eka Kaleche Mani and Aga Aai Aho Aai are also on the list. The company will have an intriguing lineup and is also supporting Gujarati films. Meanwhile, the Gujarati lineup consists of Ghulam Chor, Chaandlo, and Bachubhai. By collaborating with SVF Entertainment over a long period and on multiple films, the studio is also concentrating on the Bengali market.

Speaking about the scale and vision, Jyoti spoke about Mukesh Ambani’s vision of the media and entertainment industry. She said,
“Digital was not digital then, the world was a very different place and he could see what an integral part content would play in digital disruption and video consumption.”
Jio Cinema, the OTT division of Reliance Industries, was a content aggregator until now. Now, however, a number of the titles will be original. These titles will be a mixture of multilingual original films and web series. According to the company, a handful of these films will also have theatrical premieres in addition to being available very soon on Jio Cinemas.
