Kabir Singh, an official remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy released today. It was one of the most awaited movies of this year. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh is an intense love story and is getting very well appreciation from the critics. Kabir Singh is a story of short-tempered doctor Kabir Singh, a titular role played by Shahid Kapoor. Doctor Kabir Rajveer Singh is intoxicated, stubborn, alcoholic, drug addict and an obsessed lover. He is a kind of a boyfriend who can go to any extreme level for his girlfriend Preeti. He is a topper in one of the Delhi’s most reputed medical institutes and a senior to Preeti. It is love at first sight for Kabir. The obsession for Preeti leds Kabir Singh to the path of self-destruction. Will he be able to come out from this self-created dark world?
Kabir Singh Movie Review
Kabir Singh is an intense love story, but the way Sandeep Reddy Vanga presented this love story is unique. Shahid Kapoor has given the show-stellar performance in Kabir Singh. Kiara Advani looked simple and beautiful in the movie. This can be called as an upgraded version of Devdas. If you have watched Arjun Reddy then naturally you will compare it with Kabir Singh. Yes, it is the same story, almost same dialogues, but Shahid Kapoor performance is a delight to watch.
But, the length of the movie disappoints. Around 3 hours (2 hours 54 minutes) long movie somewhere breaks the momentum. The music and background score of the movies suits well with the story of the movie. The director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has done a good job to keep the movie similar to Arjun Reddy. The character of Shiva played by Soham Majumdar has done justice with the role of Kabir’s friend. Overall, the movie is an intense package for the moviegoers and will surely entertain you. We give 3.5 stars out of 5. The extra half star is just for Shahid Kapoor’s performance.
