Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has been in the news for the last week due to several controversies. Now, what is shocking for Kangana Ranaut’s fans is the film’s release has been postponed. The makers have made an official announcement regarding the postponement. Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency will not arrive on its scheduled release date of September 6.
Why Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency Postponed?
Since the release of the trailer, the film has revolved around controversies. The trailer has a glimpse of Bhindrawala, which is opposed by some people. Even the case has been filed to stop the release. Punjab and Haryana High Court had a hearing over a case filed by Gurinder Singh and Jagmohan Singh. They demanded that the censor certificate, granted by the Central Board of Film Certificate (CBFC) to Emergency, should be revoked. They further said that the film should be allowed to be reviewed by eminent Sikh personalities before its release in cinemas.
CBFC has given the cuts to be made in the film. The certificate for the film is under consideration. According to HT, Satya Pal Jain, who appeared for the CBFC, told the court that “the certification has not been granted as of now. It will be granted as per rules and regulations, as applicable in this case. If anyone has any grievance, the same can be sent to the board.”
Kangana Ranaut said,
“This is an unbelievable time for me and I am very sorry for the state of things in this country.
While we got the clearance from the CBFC but then the film suddenly blacked out all of a sudden.
They don’t want to show Indira Gandhi’s assassination, Bhindrawala, Punjab riots. I don’t know what to show.”
As per the latest update, the film is officially postponed from September 6. It is still not clear whether the release will be pushed ahead by a week or more. We will keep you posted on the latest developments regarding Kangana’s film Emergency. Stay tuned with us.
