On July 19, the Uttar Pradesh government mandated that food and beverage stores along Kanwar paths show the name and identity of the business’s operator or owner. The Government decided in the wake of a police order in Muzaffarnagar that demanded that hotels, dhabas, and restaurants along the Kanwar Yatra route publish the names of the sellers and proprietors.
