Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has brought the topic of nepotism once again. A case has been filed against eight people on Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death including Karan Johar. Many actors revealed that they were not preferred just because they do not have a filmy background. One person, who is facing the massive heat of nepotism is Karan Johar. Now recently, a tweet is going viral in which it is claimed that Ayushmann Khurrana was rejected by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in 2007 and told him, “We only work with stars”.
A tweet is going viral in which there is a viral portion of Ayushmann Khurrana’s book he wrote in 2015, “Cracking The Code: My Journey In Bollywood”. Ayushmann wrote that it is in the year 2007 when he interviewed Karan Johar for the radio and expressed his desire to become an actor. Ayushmann wrote,
“I was extremely excited and thought to myself, ‘Ab toh life set hai. Ab mujhe koi rok nahi sakta! Ab toh introducing Ayushmann Khurrana hai by Dharma Productions!’ The next day I dialed the number Karan had given me. They said Karan wasn’t in office. The day after that I called again.
They said he was busy. And finally, my bubble burst when, the subsequent day, they told me bluntly ‘We only work with stars, and can’t work with you.”

In 2018, when Ayushmann Khurrana became a national award actor
, he was invited to Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan. Ayushmann Khurrana then recalled how Karan Johar gave him his office landline number. But when he called in the office number, he was told by the person that “We don’t audition outsiders and newcomers.”To which Karan Johar responded the Bala actor, “I gave you the right number. That was very sweet of me! I must’ve thought that you have potential.” Ayushmann Khurrana made his debut in 2012, five years later with the movie Vicky Donor and the movie was Superhit.
Well, it is really unfair for the people coming from different parts of the country with a dream to become an actor and this nepotism kills the dream of many. It should be stopped and the person with potential should be provided an opportunity in the industry. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.
