Khel Khel Mein Movie Review
Khel Khel Mein is a story of trust, belief, love, and secrets. The narrative of the movie is quite engaging but what’s more interesting are the characters’ insecurities that feel relatable. The first half takes time to reveal the backstories of the characters. However, some of these stories are engaging. Some very sensitive and taboo subjects like s*xuality, and abusive work relationships are handled perfectly.
Another good thing about the movie is its cast performances. Akshay Kumar, as always, puts on his fun personality and will keep you glued to the screens. He will surely entertain you throughout the duration with his comedy skills. He is an ace in the comedy genre. Taapsee is equally brilliant in her role as a shy Punjabi homemaker. Her versatility is visible on the screens. Additionally, Fardeen Khan plays a completely different and substantial role but handles it perfectly. Vaani Kapoor and Pragya Jaiswal are also good in their respective roles.
Aditya Seal and Ammy Virk are also good in their roles, but they have limited screen time compared to others. Some scenes seem dragged, but the tension and curiosity are maintained throughout. Director Mudassar Aziz truly deserves all the applause. The writing is also sharp and often insightful and comfortably explores modern relationships. Reducing the difference between private and public life, this film is a humorous one that you must surely watch.
Final Verdict
Khel Khel Mein is a perfect family entertainer exploring taboo themes without making you uncomfortable with family. It also comes with a good message. So if you are up for a comedy and several catchy one-liners, this is the perfect choice for this Independence Day. It successfully brings both laughs and emotional depth. We rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars.
