This Independence Day, three big Bollywood movies are releasing. It is a clash between Stree 2 vs Vedaa vs Khel Khel Mein. Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi starrer Stree 2, John Abraham, Sharvari starrer Vedaa, and Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, Aditya Seal starrer Khel Khel Mein are releasing this August 15. The trailer of all three films is well received by the audiences. The advance booking of all three films started full-fledged. All three films cater a different audience segments. Here is our Box Office prediction for three films.
Vedaa
John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa has got a decent number of shows at the theatres and multiplexes. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is an action film that targets a particular set of audiences. The advance booking looks decent though not promising. John Abraham’s last Independence Day releases Satyameva Jayate, and Batla House did good business at the Box Office. The makers are expecting the same from Vedaa. However, with big competitors like Khel Khel Mein and Stree 2, Vedaa will mostly depend on critical reception and word of mouth from the audience. Out of three films, Vedaa is expected to start slow and will open in the range of Rs 5 crore to Rs 7 crore. With good reviews, the film will get to a decent weekend total.
Khel Khel Mein
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein is based on a night’s game that comes out to be truly unique and eye-catching. From a humorous narrative to a splendid star cast, Khel Khel Mein has the spark to bring the audience to the theatres. However, the advance booking started to grow. The makers have recently started the advance booking full-fledged. The makers and multiplexes were in talks to provide additional shows to the film. Khel Khel Mein is all set to open below par considering the star cast and comic genre. It will open in the range of Rs 5 crore to 6 crore. Yes, the numbers are not promising as it is being released on a national holiday. Hope the tables turn during the long weekend, and the film collects a respective total in the first weekend.
Stree 2
Stree 2 is a monster among the three films releasing on August 15. Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee starrer is all set to take the biggest Hindi opening of 2024. It will surely surpass Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter Day 1 collection of Rs 24.60 crore. The advance booking is terrific. Stree 2 will earn more than the other two films Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa combined on Day 1. Stree 2 will collect over Rs 45 crore to Rs 50crore on Day 1. If combined with paid previews, the collection can even go up to Rs 60 crore.
The horror comedy genre is fascinating the audiences. Moreover, it is a sequel to the 2018 hit film Stree. The trailer received a thunderous response from the audience. The songs are also chartbusters. Stree 2 has already sold over 185000 tickets as of writing this content with over 36 hours to go. It will get a big benefit because of paid previews on August 14. If the word of mouth is positive, Stree 2 will have a Rs 100 crore long extended weekend.
