The October 23, 2023, episode of Kumkum Bhagya opens with Ashok chasing Akshay inside the house and asking him to hold on while he speaks with Akshay. Akshay tells Ashok that he doesn’t want to hear anything more and asks him to thank God for sending him such a son. Ashok can express his regret by crying if he is embarrassed by Akshay’s actions. When Ashok warns Akshay that what he is doing is wrong, he responds that all he wants is Prachi in his life. Ashok is taken aback when Akshay declares that he has no fear of anyone, not even his father, and that he would not give up in the present.

Manpreet Is Shocked
When Manpreet hears the noises downstairs, he goes downstairs to ask Ashok what’s wrong, to which Ashok responds that he is shocked at how Akshay has turned out. Manpreet brings Ashok some water and advises him to calm down when she sees how upset he is. Meanwhile, Ranbir and Mihika enter the house from the hospital.
When Ashok asks Ranbir if he is well, he responds that he is slightly hurt from an attack by some goons. Ashok is relieved to find Ranbir still alive. After noticing the gash in Ranbir’s stomach and asking Mihika to take him to his room, Manpreet and Ashok remain stunned. Ashok is then reminded of the goon who informed Akshay that Ranbir had died.
Akshay Is Enraged
Prachi abruptly wakes up from her sleep and tells Vishakha that Ranbir has returned, telling her to see if he is okay before hurriedly leaving the room. When Prachi stops Akshay on the way and tells him she needs to check on Ranbir, Akshay becomes enraged.
Prachi tells Akshay that she has always loved Ranbir. Akshay then asks Prachi to look at him rather than talk about Ranbir. Prachi claims that she only married Akshay because Khushi was given custody of her, and she still has feelings for Ranbir. After that, she leaves, driving Akshay insane with rage.
Mihika Warns Prachi
In another instance, Mihika asks Ranbir why Prachi means so much to him, and Ranbir responds that Mihika already understands the answer. After Mihika has been gone for a while, Prachi enters the room and holds Ranbir while he is about to fall. Later, Ranbir goes to visit Khushi, asking Prachi to bring his phone.
Mihika stops Prachi from following Ranbir and tells her to keep away from him. Prachi defiantly refuses to comply with Mihika’s demand. After Mihika asserts that only Ranbir is hers, Prachi states that she has seen Mihika’s true nature. She further says that she is unable to allow Ranbir to wed her since Khushi will not be secure with Mihika as her stepmother. Prachi claims that Mihika’s attitude reminds her of Rhea’s compulsive behavior and that she will shield Ranbir from her.
Akshay Wants To Get Rid Of Ranbir
Vishakha visits Ashok and Manpreet in the interim. They inform her that Ranbir and Prachi are inseparable because of their shared heart. After hearing about their earlier chat, Abhay begs Akshay to stop because Prachi doesn’t love him. However, Akshay responds that his love is plenty for the two of them.
Khushi puts a black thread around Ranbir’s wrist after he tells her that he thought he might not be able to see her again. After witnessing Ranbir embrace and cuddle Khushi, Akshay rushes into a room, trying to figure out how to get rid of him.
