The show is getting millions of views thanks to its controversial concept and contestants. One of the most popular contestants in the show is Munawar Faruqui. He has attracted a lot of attention in the show because of his game and one-liners and also gained a loyal female fan base. Recently, Munawar Faruqui has shared the biggest secret while talking to the host Kangana Ranaut.
In the judgment day episode, Kangana Ranaut showed a blurred picture related to Munawar Faruqui’s personal life on the screen. After the picture was shown, Kangana Ranaut asked Munawar Faruqui to talk about it. However, he refused and said that he does not want to discuss anything related to the matter. Munawar said,
“I don’t want to talk about this. Not on social media, not on a platform like Lock Upp. This is not something I want to talk about.”

Kangana Ranaut revealed that Munawar Faruqui is a married man and has a child. She suggested to him that it would only add negativity to his image if he does not open up about it. After that, Munawar Faruqui revealed,
“I was married at a young age but I am not living with my wife for the last one and half years. The matter is in court now.”
Munawar added that he remained quiet about his marriage and the separation as the matter is in court. In the recent episode, Munawar’s co-contestant Anjali Arora confessed her feelings for her. The news of Munawar’s marriage left her shocked. Other contestants were also shocked about it, but host Kangana Ranaut applauded Munawar for sharing such a big secret in front of everyone. After Kangana Ranaut’s exit, Munawar Faruqui revealed to inmates that he decided to participate in the reality show Lock Upp for the sake of his son. The other contestants extended support and hugged him. This left Munawar emotional.

Contestant Saisha Shinde went to Munawar Faruqui and tried to comfort him. Munawar said that he doesn’t want the revelation to affect his son. He added,
“I don’t want ki jo cheezon ka ab matlab hi nahi hai wo cheezein bahar aaye. (I don’t want the things, which don’t matter, to come out in the public) There are so many things in my life, there’re so many tags and I don’t want another thing.”
Munawar added,
“Kuch cheezein court mein hain. I don’t want anything to come out. Thoda sa baat karunga to sabko pura janna hoga. I was trying to make things better. Ye sab cheezein mujhe do saal se kha rahi hain. (If I speak about it, people will want to know more. These things were affecting me since the past two years).”
Later, Anjali Arora and Poonam Pandey tried to calm him down and went to talk to him. Munawar asked them if they wanted to ask anything and they said they did not. Poonam Pandey said it was his personal life, and she is separated as well that’s why she understood. Munawar said he lost himself while trying his best and cried as he said it.
