Rani Mukerji is back as a cop Shivani Roy in the sequel of Mardaani, Mardaani 2. Today there are three major releases. Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 2, Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor starer The Body, and Hollywood movie Dwyane The Rock Johnson’s Jumanji. Mardaani 2 is a sequel and this cop thriller is getting appreciation from the audiences.

The movie starts with a crime scene, a girl is brutally being raped and murdered at Kota, Rajasthan. Shivani Roy has been appointed to find the criminal. There is a young serial killer who rapes young women before murdering them brutally. She investigates the case and finds that there is a psychopath named Sunny portrayed by Vishal Jethwa who is behind this. The story is about Rani Mukerji stopping and chasing Vishal Jethwa.

The duration of the movie is less than 2 hours, just 105 minutes. The story will not allow you to leave the movie even once. Rani Mukerji as cop steals the show and stands out with her performance. Gopi Puthran has done the double duty of pen down the story and also directed the same. The movie has chills, thrills, emotions, and drama. Vishal Jethwa looked impressive as a debutant. His Rajasthani accent came naturally. The background score suits well and gives the scene a chilling touch. Overall, Mardaani 2 is a movie with a brutal story that needs to be told and Rani Mukerji did full justice with the role of Shivani Roy.
