Iron Man and Captain America, the team’s previous commanders, were eliminated at the end of Avengers: Endgame; Stark was dead, while Cap was a retired elderly man. Most of the remaining Avengers are addressing their threats, even if many are still on Earth. The others are spread out throughout the universe.
Thor had his issues to deal with when Gorr the God Butcher attacked New Asgard, as we saw in Love and Thunder. Now no one can recall who Peter Parker is (see: the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which concluded with the recollection of Parker — but not Spider-Man, essentially — erased from all living beings).
Phase four did bring in some intriguing newcomers. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez, a powerful multiverse traveler, trained with Wong and Doctor Strange’s remaining sorcerers; in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri “Ironheart” Williams made her acting debut, taking over the role of the Black Panther from Letitia Wright’s Shuri after her brother passed away before the events of the film.
In any scenario, they must quickly get their act together. A multiversal group of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) variants, which appears to be the most significant danger to interstellar stability since Thanos snapped his blue, meaty fingers, has formed with the stated goal of destroying the Avengers, as we saw in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Although the exact nature of their conflict with the Avengers has not yet been established, it all points toward one epic fight.
Currently, Who Are The Avengers?
We now have the following:
- Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man
- Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange
- Wong (Benedict Wong as the Sorcerer Supreme)
- Anthony Mackie portrays Sam “Falcon” Wilson as Captain America.
- Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Hawkeye’s teenage apprentice (not Clint Barton)
- The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, who would shortly serve as She-Hulk’s mentor)
- Tom Holland’s Spider-Man
- Sebastian Stan as Bucky “The Winter Soldier” Barnes
Shuri has assumed the role of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (after the passing of both actor Chadwick Boseman and her brother T’Challa). What role she will play in the Avengers is still unknown.
Thor and Captain Marvel are both out in space, and both could probably be counted on to show up at any time. Additionally, Wanda Maximoff is perhaps dead due to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but we’ll have to wait and see for how long that endures.
Who Could Join The Avengers By The Time Of The Secret Wars And The Kang Dynasty?
Blade, Daredevil: Born Again, America Chavez, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Riri “Ironheart” Williams are just a few of the new TV shows and films that Marvel has added to their schedule. According to the multiversal storyline, countless characters may join the Avengers by the time of The Kang Dynasty and the Secret Wars. Last July, Marvel announced many new television shows and films at Comic-Con, including Blade, Daredevil: Born Again, America Chavez, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Riri “Ironheart” Williams. Riri “Ironheart” Williams, a teenage genius with an exoskeleton resembling Iron Man, saved the day during the conflict between Wakanda and Namor’s Talokan.
The most critical information in this paragraph is that Disney wants Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back on the pitch as soon as possible and by 2025. The Avengers will resemble the following: Wong America, Chavez, Kate “Hawkeye” Bishop, She-Hulk, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, The Wasp, Doctor Strange, Ant-Ma, Daredevil, Blade, Ironheart, and Black Panther are some of the other superheroes. In a recent interview, Anthony Mackie dispelled rumors that he may become the new Captain America, saying Sam is “just a regular dude hanging out with a bunch of weirdos.”
Will The Kang Dynasty And Secret Wars Feature The Fantastic Four, Guardians Of The Galaxy, And Thunderbolts?
In 2024, just in time, the Avengers duology, The Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Thunderbolts will be properly brought to the MCU. The remaining members of the previous team are Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), who are joined by Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), Kraglin Obfonteri (Sean Gunn), Cosmo the Spacedog (voiced by Maria Bakalova), and newcomer Phyla-Vell. A movie about the group of former supervillains known as The Thunderbolts will be released around the middle of 2024. Yelena Belova, a top-tier assassin played by Florence Pugh, Alexei Shostakov, David Harbour’s chronically hungover Russian Captain America, and John Walker, the wicked Captain America played by Wyatt Russell, are among them.
