One of the most awaited movies of 2021, Mimi released today on Netflix and Jio Cinemas. It was scheduled to release on July 30. However, the movie was leaked online. Due to which the makers have decided to counter piracy and hence preponed its release. Laxman Utekar has directed Mimi. Mimi starring Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak. It is one of the most beautiful movies in recent times.
Mimi Story
The story of Mimi revolves around Kriti Sanon, who plays the titular role. Mimi is a dancer who aspires to become an actress. An American couple John (Aidan Whytock) and Summer (Evelyn Edwards), wants a surrogate mother. Bhanu, played by Pankaj Tripathi, introduces them to Mimi. The couple agrees to pay INR 20 Lakhs for surrogacy. Kriti Sanon agrees to conceive a baby. However, there comes a situation when the couple backs off, leaving on her own. Mimi is one of the most beautiful movies you will see in recent times. It has comedy, emotions, and drama. The content is king, and if the script is strong, it will surely work. The same is the case with Mimi. It has a brilliant story. Laxman Utekar and Rohan Shankar have done excellent work with script and screenplay. The direction is bang on. The dialogues are superb.
Talking about the performances, it is undoubtedly the best performance of Kriti Sanon to date. Pankaj Tripathi once again proved why he had been rated so high. Sai Tamhankar is a surprise and has been amazing. Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa were equally brilliant. The music is above average. The movie is a mixture of comedy, emotions, and also a beautiful message about many social taboos. We give Mimi 4.5 stars out of 5. Do not miss this Kriti Sanon heart-touching movie and is highly recommended. Watch with your entire family.
