While the movie has its criticism the film is successful in arousing curiosity and interest holding the audience’s attention. Cinetales rates the chucklesome film 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Munjya Day 1 Box Office Collection
Even though reviews for the Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh films have been divided, it appears that moviegoers are unaffected. Previously many assumptions were made. It was as if the movie was making between 1.5 and 2 crore on its first day of release. The movie has undoubtedly become the first day’s top earner at the box office, surpassing all projections by a significant amount.
Maddock Films, Munjya, the newest horror-comedy film, shocked everyone and had a strong theatrical debut. The film made Rs 4.21 crores on its first day of screening.
Munjya’s Performance
The film performs better than Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas although it might face stiff competition from Rajkumar Rao and Jahnvi Kapoor’s Mr and Mrs Maahi. The film doesn’t surpass Rajkumar Rao and Jahnvi Kapoor’s Roohi, Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree, and Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya but it still stands strong away from the judgments of critics and estimated projections
Sharvari Shows Gratitude
The film’s lead actor Sharvari shows gratitude to his producer while he highlights the efforts made showcasing his excitement:
“I’m thrilled to see the outstanding start that Munjya has received at the box office. We have made this film with a lot of love, passion, and hard work and I have been praying ever since that Munjya becomes a huge hit. It is a film that pushed me to do something remarkably different so early on in my career and I have to thank my producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar for his belief in me to pull off this role.”
More About Munjya
The protagonist, Munjya, is a horrifying creature who is the reason for trouble and panic for a young man who is in love with a girl. The movie is a perfect humorous, chaotic, and horrifying adventure, with a tragic story that only becomes known when watched. The film’s direction is top-notch, but the screenplay had the scope for improvemnet. The movie compensates for its flaws with light-hearted moments. Abhay Verma plays Bittu, a man in his twenties, while Mona Singh plays Bittu’s protective single mother and working woman. Sharwari Wagh plays Bittu’s love interest, and Shraddha Kapoor’s special and unexpected appearance adds to the film’s beauty. Overall, Munjya is an entertaining film that promises tons of laughter and chaos.
