Even on day six, Munjya, an addition to Maddock Films’ universe of horror comedy, is still doing well at the box office. Munjya made Rs. 4.11 crore at the box office, still surpassing the preconceived notions about the film.
Munjya’s Day Wise Collection At BO
The statistics discuss the horror-comedy. On Day 2, Munjya took in Rs 7.40 crore. Over 75% more has been added since Day 1. On Day 1, it brought in Rs 4.21 crore. On the third day of release, the movie brought in an additional Rs. 8.43 crore. The horror-comedy made Rs. 4.11 crore on day 4 of the collection. The impressive number increased on day 5 of the collection making Rs. 4.21 crore. Although the number fell on day 6 of the collection it still exceeded the expectations.
Varun Dhawan’s Appearance
It’s interesting to note that Varun Dhawan makes an appearance in the entertaining horror-comedy towards the end of the movie, portraying a character from Bhediya. Fans were surprised by Varun Dhawan’s appearance in the Munjya post-credit scene. In the final climax of Munjya, Abhishek Banerjee’s character Jana can be heard calling out in a jungle against a frightening soundtrack. Abruptly, Bhaskar, played by Varun Dhawan, emerges fully nude from behind a boulder. Varun Dhawan can be seen in the video covering himself in leaves and hiding behind a large rock in a bush. He approaches Janardan, played by Abhishek Banerjee, and requests assistance. Then he hurls some clothing in Bhaskar’s direction. After Bhaskar wears the underpants, Munjya gives a jump fright, signaling the conclusion of the video. Fans expressed their amazement and excitement in the comment section.
Director Aditya Sarpotdar gave us a hint at the connections of the film. “Some even felt like there’s a separate Stree universe and Munjya is a part of it,” he said. However, he continued “There could be connections in my films too. You’ll come to know of that when you see it.”
