The movie’s narrative is based on Jerry Pinto’s novel of the same name. Raj Acharya’s web series is a story of a heinous crime at Mahim railway station in Mumbai. Additionally, the 8-episode series focuses on a powerful cop joining hands with a senior journalist.
They come together to crack the case and find the killer of a young man. The young man was brutally murdered at the washroom of Mahim railway station. Meanwhile, as they begin working on the case, they come through several harsh realities of society and crime in the city.

Murder In Mahim is an interesting and important story. The investigation scenes in the series will keep you wanting for more and the suspense is also present throughout. Additionally, the complex relationships in the series are also quite interesting. The conflicts present in the series are also very intriguing. One of the best aspects of the show is that it showcases individuals’ situations to be a result of their doings. However, Murder In Mahim seems to have a slow pace at times and might also feel dragged.
Apart from this, it is a bingeworthy show. Moving on to the performances, Vijay Raaz did an exceptional job playing the role of Inspector Shivrajrao Jende. His powerful screen presence will captivate you even more. Ashutosh Rana plays the role of journalist Peter Fernandez and his performance is top-notch. Shivani Raghuvanshi as Firdaus is also very interesting to watch. Furthermore, Shivaji Satam as Shivrajrao’s father did an excellent job in his supporting role.
Apart from them, Ashitosh Gaikwad, Rajesh Khattar, Nishant Khanduja, and Rohan Verma are all too good in their roles. The shifting between the professional and personal lives of the characters sometimes be a distraction. However, Raj Acharya did a great job with handling the direction of the series. Moreover, the dialogue is so well that some of the dialogues will stay with you throughout the series.

Murder In Mahim is not just an ordinary investigation drama, it is much more than that. It also manages to ask some very difficult questions that will make you question yourself. Although there are certain shortcomings, it is still a bingeworthy series. We rate this series 3.5 out of 5 stars.
