Murshid Series Review
This gangster thriller web series comes with a lot of challenging action sequences and gun fights. It has interesting dialogues, a gripping storyline, and mafia rivalry. This is a perfect blend of action and crime. The series has several layers that focus on different periods and keep switching between past and present. This also gives a fusion of secrets and plot twists which will keep you on the edge of your seats throughout the runtime. Shravan Tiwari has done his job with perfection as he brings this intense storyline to reality.
The web series has a very talented cast which is led by Kay Kay Menon. His intense dialogue delivery is surely mind-blowing. He plays the role of an ex-mafia don called Bombay Ka Sultan. Kay Kay Menon portrays the titular role and delivers a powerful performance. Additionally, Tanuj Virwani plays the role of a cop in the series. He is yet another important and talented addition to the cast. Zakir Hussain also plays the role of an ambitious and aggressive character with a thrilling performance of a modern-day don. He perfectly combines old-world respect and new-age ruthlessness. The intense rivalry between Kay Kay Menon and Zakir Hussain adds fuel to the strong narrative. Rajesh Shringarpure also played his part well. Apart from these characters, all the other supporting cast did a good job.
Moreover, the series also gets interesting as it is a relatable story that shows how far a father can go for the sake of his family. It’s a story of loyalty and shows the power of family connections. However, some drawbacks of the series are that at certain scenes it might seem monotonous to the viewers. Some scenes also seem to be a little dragged. The mafia world genre is also not something that could be called unique. Nevertheless, all the major aspects of the series are just so good that the flaws become negligible.
Final Verdict
Mafia underworld is a usual genre of Bollywood used for the cinematic re-telling of the most violent crimes. The best part about this series is its cast including Kay Kay Menon, Tanuj Virwani, Zakir Hussain, and others. If you’re someone who loves the crime thriller genre, then this can be a good watch. We rate this series 3.5 out of 5 stars.
