Nargis Fakhri rose to fame from her debut movie Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She worked in films like Madras Cafe, Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Amavas, to name a few. There were rumors of Nargis Fakhri dating Uday Chopra in the past. But the duo has never openly spoken about it. Nargis denied the reports and said they were just friends. In 2014, Nargis Fakhri had talked about the relationship rumors with Uday Chopra. She said,
“I am repeating myself: Uday and I aren’t dating each other. But he will always remain a part of my life. I have very few friends in India, and I feel fortunate that he’s one of them.”
When the actress shifted to New York, there was news that she moved because of her breakup. Currently, Nargis Fakhri has gone to New York and left Bollywood for now. She has finally revealed that she was in a relationship with Uday Chopra. Nargis also explained that why she never spoke about it in public. Talking to ETimes, Nargis said,
“Uday and I dated for 5 years and he was the most beautiful human I met in India. I never have said this to the press as people told me to keep my relationship quiet, but I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul. The internet and social media is very fake and the people out there won’t know what the truth is. Most often we idolise certain people who are actually bad behind closed doors.”
Nargis also said that she left Bollywood due to health issues and missed being on set. She added,
“I actually left due to health issues and when I wanted to return to Mumbai and start working again the pandemic hit. As for the things that have been brought to light about the industry, it’s about time.”
