Who Is Neerja Punia? Roadies 19 Karm Ya Kaand’s First Transgender Contestant

MTV Roadies is a renowned Indian reality TV program that has risen in recognition over the years. It is an adventure program in which participants, termed “Roadies,” compete in various activities and challenges to display their physical and mental endurance. The show follows a group of selected contestants who are often divided into teams led by “gang leaders,” who counsel and guide the participants during their adventure. This time we have Neerja Punia, the first transgender competitor on Roadies. Read on to know more!

The outstanding competitor Neerja Punia, a transgender person, will appear in the forthcoming episode of the well-known youth adventure reality show “Roadies Karm Ya Kaand.” Her involvement helps the program continue to challenge gender stereotypes and advance diversity, providing an admirable example.

She will be shown highlighting the problems that transgender people confront in modern society, her transformational path, and how it affects one’s mental, physical, and monetary well-being.

Neerja is a transgender model from Haryana who is in her early twenties. She overcame social discrimination by making it to the ‘MTV Roadies auditions.

 

Rhea Understands Neerja Punia

Rhea Chakraborty, gang leader,  said: “This journey and your transition are emotionally challenging, and you need a lot of support from the people around you actually… jo zyadatar logo’n ko nahi milta (a lot of people don’t get the support).”

The gang leaders are excited to have Neerja join their group because of her strength, adaptability, and capacity to shatter preconceptions.

Punia says she didn’t have any role model to look up to, and she looks forward to joining Team Prince.
